Affirmation: “My holiness shines bright and clear today.”
“And I will ask for only joyous things the instant I accept my holiness. For what would be the use of pain to me, what purpose would my suffering fulfill, and how would grief and loss avail me if insanity departs from me today, and I accept my holiness instead?
“Father, my holiness is Yours. Let me rejoice in it, and through forgiveness be restored to sanity. Your Son is still as You created him. My holiness is part of me, and also part of You. And what can alter Holiness Itself? (WB440)”
Reflections:
1 – ACIM in a Nutshell
This lesson explains the reason that we can let suffering in all its manifestations go. We have been insane, mad. We can let this go, if we follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we experience the real world, and we let God come to us in Awakening. This, in a nutshell, is the route as described by A Course in Miracles.
2 – From Personal Self to the Holy Self
May we learn to think of our Selves as holy. This is not the little self (called the “personal self” or the “separated self” by A Course of Love), but the glorious culmination of all that we truly are–the Self that is the elevated Self of form in Christ-consciousness (from ACOL), and called Awakening in ACIM. Perhaps the time will come when we have learned enough. Habits die hard, and we have all been on a search for God (actually) for a very, very long time. As individuals who believed in the separation from God, there was little, once we embarked on the way to spirituality, for us to do but search.
3 – Learning Will End
A Course of Love (channeled by Mari Perron) says that there is a time when learning is to end. We are approaching that time in these final lessons from ACIM from the Workbook. We are in a meditative state as we seek God in our devotionals. We have had our questions answered, but we may not fully realize this. That is why we return again and again to ACIM. That is not a bad way to spend our time, of course. We need, before learning ceases, to over-learn the tenets that ACIM would promulgate. We have spent eons over-learning the dictates of the ego. It may take some time for us to over-learn what Jesus would have us study now.
Prayer:
Dear Father/Mother,
I would move ever closer, today, to assimilating the tenets of A Course in Miracles. I would learn and over-learn what I have spent eons trying to ignore. I would end those eons immediately.
Be with me as I invite Awakening. I know that this is Your decision, and I would not be impatient or try to hurry You. Take me when You are ready. Help me to follow Your instructions so that I am doing all that You would have me do to be ready.
