Light and Joy and Peace

ACIM Workbook Lesson 112 – for Friday, April 22, 2011

Affirmation:  “Light and joy and peace abide in me.”

Selected Passage:

“I am the home of light and joy and peace.  I welcome them into the home I share with God, because I am a part of Him.  (WB205)”

Affirmation:  “I am as God created me.”

Selected Passage:

“I will remain forever as I was, created by the Changeless like Himself.  And I am one with Him, and He with me.  (WB205)”

Reflections:

These affirmations and selected passages are probably meant for meditation (though there is a difference of opinion among ACIM students/teachers as to how much meditation is taught in A Course in Miracles).  We are told that contemplation is tedious, and that it is not “our way” (a Text tenet).  Our way is the relationship that we have with our brother (or sister), in that the special relationship is turned into the holy relationship.

The best way that we can gain today, that we can walk toward God, is to reflect on the words of ACIM that I have typed above.  Further words do not seem warranted.  Jesus has said it best.  Let us listen to him and take unto ourselves what he has said.  Then the way Home will come ever closer, because we will be saving time.

Prayer:

Dear Father/Mother,

May I relax in the meditation that this day’s lesson invites.  May I leave words alone, and listen to the silence.  May I “hear” what the silence says and know what the Holy Spirit is saying to me.

Amen.
