ACIM Workbook Lesson 211 – for Saturday, July 30, 2011

Affirmation:  “I am not a body.  I am free.  For I am still as God created me.”

“I am the holy Son of God Himself.  (WB393)”

Our Selves have not changed, though our little self has known an illusory separation from God.  Our Selves are the holy Sons and Daughters of God.

Do not be afraid that such an assertion is arrogance.  Unless caught up by the ego, to believe such a wonderful promise from God is not arrogance, but the most supreme good sense.

If our personal image gets in the way, know that the Text asks us to decide that we do not know who we are.  This is the unknown identity that the Holy Spirit has been waiting for us to acknowledge.  Then we are really ready to go home–not to death, but to Heaven on earth.

Dear Father/Mother,

I would know Heaven on earth today.  If I am not yet ready, today, then I ask that every step that I take today bring me closer to that glorious culmination.  I realize that this experience is borne of great joy, joy in Your love.  I do love You truly.

Help all of my brothers and sisters to take steps today that will bring them closer to You.  May I be an instrument in their progress, if You would have me be.  Lead me to know what to say and what to do in forwarding salvation, but only if the people who are in my circle are ready and want to learn from me.  I would reflect only Your words.  Teach me to follow the Holy Spirit in all my comings and goings.

  1. We in your circle are you in God, in Christ’s vision. You are an Innocent child of Love Itself. I give thanks for the reminder.

    1. Dear Tom,

I agree that all of us are in Christ’s vision. I find innocence for all of us one of the most difficult concepts of ACIM to feel inwardly and to understand fully. I can easily see that we are lost in insanity in this world, except when we are living the intangibles of love, joy, peace, etc. I know that anger and attack are calls for help (or love), and that we should respond accordingly. But still I feel that we are not as innocent as ACIM says. Do you ever feel this way? I always think that there is something more that I can do, that I fail to do.

      In Christ, Celia
