“The Atonement was established as the means of restoring guiltlessness to minds that have denied it, and thus denied Heaven to themselves. (T-14.IV.9)”
We think that we have done a lot of bad things, things unforgivable. We have done bad things, but not in the real world. We have made those mistakes in an illusory world, and thus they have no more substance than a dream. They are a form of dream, in fact; that is the other way that Jesus talks about our walk in this world.
The Atonement restores guiltlessness by letting us realize that we have never sinned. Our mistakes in illusion are just mistakes. And so we are not damned in any sense at all, other than our own insanity of guilt.
We would enjoy Heaven on earth. This is indeed possible when we refuse to deny Heaven any longer. Heaven is awaiting our response.
Let us make that better response today.
