“And yet you are not being called upon to create as you have been, but to create as who you truly are being. You are called to nothing short of creating a new heaven and a new earth. This does not, however, entail specificity any more than the miracle does. It does not entail choice. It is a way of being. When you are fully aware of your oneness of being and begin to create in unity and relationship, you will do so by simply being who you are being, just as you have “created” during the time of your separation by being who you have thought yourself to be.” (ACOL, D:Day35.20)
When we are being who we think we are, we create like unto that. Previously, in the egoic state, we made a world that didn’t work very well. Now we are called to something better. Our new mind slant will inform our decisions, make us more prone to make good decisions, and launch a powerful new world.
We discover in this passage that we don’t need to make elaborate plans for this new world. What we do will grow from what we are. The emergence of the new Self in each of us will determine what our part in the new world really is.
We are right to be eager to understand, but the time may not be ripe. If we haven’t experienced Christ-consciousness by now, at least we can look to the glimpses of Awakening that we have all had. These glimpses give us a peace in living that has no parallel in our past experience. I like to think that when I am feeling especially mellow, I am inviting God to inform my every thought, word, and deed. He lives through us, because being a part of Him, there is not “otherness.”
We are not in separation any longer. We are arriving at our true home, possessed by God in real time, in true reality. When we follow intuitive leanings, we will know what to do and when.
As I have said repeatedly, the way back to God is not hard. It just needs our total and complete willingness.
Dear God,
Guide me today in my every thought and deed. Don’t let any overwrought state of mind cloud the promptings of my heart. Let my heart rule, and when my heart rules, I can be kind.
I would be kind today.
Amen.
