“I cannot save you more time than you will let me, but if you are willing to try the Higher Shopping Service, which also covers all lower-order necessities, and even quite a number of whims within reason, I have very good use for the time we could save.” (ACIM, COA ed., T-1.25.6)

Jesus has a sense of humor! This comment, meant for Helen, is telling her that he would like for her to focus on their work together and not the new coat that she hopes to find! It is insightful passages such as this that gives us such a gem in the new, complete A Course in Miracles.

We apparently do get help from the Other Side, but only when we open ourselves to it. This saves us time, and most of us realize that there are things that we can do on earth that are closed to those spirits who hover around us. With the time that we save, we can cooperate in higher order concerns.

Even “whims” are included! Jesus knows us very well, knows that we imagine ourselves needing things that while unimportant in the grand scheme of things, are important to us.

And he cooperates with us in all of that. I also love the human side of the human/divine Jesus, shown in the new edition of ACIM.

Often Spirit has been known to gather several perfect things I need at a local thrift store, have them priced at next to nothing, and then give me the word to go there… If you’ve ever browsed the rather hopeless collections at most thrift stores, this is quite a feat! Beauty and creativity are pleasing to God, especially when we are saving precious resources and resurrecting the usefullness of existing gifts while we go about them 😊

I sure enjoy your comments & especially enjoyed today and letting Him help us with the minutia in our lives. This new version sure makes ACIM come alive. Thank you so much!!

I 100% believe that God provides us with signs as we progress through life. “I Saw God Today” by George Straight provides several examples and I see even more depth in everyday occurrences when I open my eyes to all of the signs. Blessings! xoxo
