Do we all want a “special” place in the world? The Holy Spirit reinterprets specialness to mean the unique role that God would have us fill in our lifetime. What, given our talents, are we best able to do, the one thing that nobody else can do as well as we? This function, no longer ego-oriented and “special,” is what God would have us to do. The A Course in Miracles says, in speaking of our brother, “Let him no more be lonely, for the lonely ones are those who see no function in the world for them to fill; no place where they are needed, and no aim which only they can perfectly fill.” (T-25.VI.3:6)

I always find comfort in the thought that each individual has certain strengths and weaknesses. Choosing to optimize our strengths allows us to make a difference by using the talents God gave us. Blessings!
Yes, I do have a Special Role, but so does everyone that acknowledges any Higher purpose and many that are completely unaware. Each of us holds the spark of God and its the acceptance and awareness of this that increases our Light, but we all are worthy. The more that I let go of my own Will the more my purpose has an opportunity to reveal itself. The door of possibility lets in the breath of Spirit and all those unknowns can come into play. My intellectual mind wants to control these things and my Heart just wants to see where they go, which really is Freedom.
