“Being alert in favor of love means trusting fully in love—God’s love. This is no idle clarification about trusting in the active love of God. Trusting others to solve what you think of as your problems constantly leads to disillusionment. Two similar beings cannot have in each other what the other lacks to solve their apparent problems. If this were true, one would have to be incomplete and another not, which would annul the equality of the children of God.” Choose Only Love bk.3, 3:II
I don’t think this means that we can’t get advice from other people. If neither one has a clue, though, this quotation does make sense. We can’t trust other people to solve our problems, because the problems are our contract, and for help with problems, we need to get quiet and go within, to God.
We have all we need to solve problems, but this idea will remain elusive to us until we depend on our one Source, God Himself. Often we muddle along with a problem for weeks, months, years, never asking for help. This makes no sense whatsoever. But there it is. We need to go immediately to our Higher Power when something puzzles us. Ask for clarification, ask to be shown the light.
And we will be.
