“That requires, then, learning how to use consciousness differently. But it is all predicated on a return to peace. That is why, above all things, your responsibility is to enter into surrender—to let the tiny mad idea of a separate self be dissolved entirely from the mind, so that there is only the Mind of Christ.” (“The Way of Transformation,” The Way of Mastery, Chapter 19, Page 234)
If we desire a good life, we need above all a sense of peace within our mind and heart. Spirituality tells us that this peace can only happen in surrender to “what is.” And this, at the bottom, is a surrender to the universe, or, in other words, to God Himself.
We make a lot of decisions about our world that we don’t realize. But there is an overarching Presence in the universe Who sustains us, and this is God. If we want to adapt well to a difficult world, we need to ask for the “happy dreams the Holy Spirit brings” (this from A Course in Miracles). Our difficulties ease, we walk a green earth.
Our surrender to “what is” is all it takes. And God is “what is,” the greatest “what is” Who exists. I assure that we can know peace when we take this step. When we trust God enough to take this step of surrender.
To you, where does Jesus Christ fit in?
I believe Jesus is both our leader and our savior.
Love, Celia
And he is my righteousness.
