“So the distance from where you may yet perceive yourself to be and where you may perceive us to be is only the distance of a decision. That decision waits upon your welcome. No one can take from you the power to decide to own your identity as God’s child.” (“The Way of Transformation,” The Way of Mastery, Chapter 20, Page 242)
Our decision will place us in the “lineage,” a concept that Jesus discusses elsewhere in The Way of Mastery. Jesus always welcomes others to the lineage, because this is the ancient group of entities who seek to effect salvation in our world. Members of the lineage planned the pathway by which Jesus entered this world. It is an ancient order, but not a closed one. Anyone who expresses the hope to save our world is welcome to join.
We are all children of God. We don’t have to be heavyhearted to experience this wonder. Jesus did not wear his Christhood heavily, and he would not have us do so either.
Keep in mind that we live in a dream world. The blood is only catsup. Reality is positive and good–only the fruits of a spirit which has merged with God once again.
Our decision for God, repeated daily in surrender, will show us the better world that we all seek. It is a matter of perception, and then knowledge. Nothing need be worn heavily in this better world. Choose lightheartedness, ask for help, and another way will be shown to us–just as it was for Helen and Bill in the channeling of A Course in Miracles.
