“Part of the journey, then, of The Way of Transformation is learning to transform your lived experience, so that you enjoy it more and more, are attached to it less and less, and fear it not at all.” (“The Way of Transformation,” The Way of Mastery, Chapter 20, Page 244)
Our “lived experience” is all we know, how we have come across in our lives, all we think about, etc. It is truly the all in all, but an all in all that we share with God, because He is living through us. If we truly realize that God is in and through us, we will seek to give Him a good day, and that means enjoying whatever comes. Here we discover that we are to enjoy what comes “more and more.” Of course, when we follow guidance, we discover that things have a way of righting themselves. We learn how to endure, sometimes, but there is joy even in tough times, for we come to realize that we are not going through anything at all alone.
We become also less attached to results. We articulate “being willing to have it so.” We live the truth of this statement given by a guru to Joseph Campbell, the writer. We walk a smooth pathway when we are not so intend on having everything just as we think we want it.
And we live without fear. This is very, very important, for fear blocks Awakening, and the path of transformation is just that–Awakening. We can ask God to free us of fear, and when we are pliable in His hands, He will do just that. Of course, we know that prayers are not always immediately answered, and perhaps the prayer to be rid of fear is one of the most common to hear “wait.” We will have subconscious healing to do, and when we bring up those subconscious issues, we will probably feel fear. But this fear can quickly dissipate. We have done the work by considering what has been brought to mind.
Intend to enjoy our lived experience today. Fear it not at all, if this is possible for us. And don’t have to have everything go just the way we think we want it. The higher plan may say otherwise, and we will come to bless that higher plan as time passes.
