Humanity & Divinity Will Now Embrace

“Your humanity will be completely absorbed in that which is beyond all human thought, while remaining what it is.  Humanity and divinity will now embrace, establishing a new bond of love linking the Supreme Source with the nature of the human.  And with that we will become increasingly aware of a union that is above all union, and includes them all.

“Beloved mirror of wisdom!  What a joy it is to be able to sing with you a new song every morning, every sunset, and every night.”  Choose Only Love bk. 6, 1:II

Book 6 of Choose Only Love is taking us beyond simply Awakening.  Our humanity and our divinity, as we read in this quotation, will now embrace.  We are evolving further, with God’s help.  We are becoming the Self Who touches God.

We will naturally move to praise when we experience this new beginning.  Our little mind cannot comprehend all the glories that God will bestow on us.  We are speechless as a result.

God’s wisdom will become a part of what we experience.  We will know more about Divinity than we have ever known before.  Indeed, it is not overstating to know that He will be sharing His Godhead with us.

There is a reason that we were born in the physical on earth.  Each of us has a different mission, though there will be similarities.  Ask today to know what we are individually called to do.  Ask today to know what we are individually called to think.  God’s infusion into our mind and heart will be complete.

God’s Help

“When you ask God to help you with this or that, you are consciously joining the part of you that is divine.”  Choose Only Love bk.3, 11:II

I ask God for help just a lot. And this quotation says that I am joining with Him, with His divinity that is deep within me.

Most of us don’t recognize that we are joining with a part of our Self when we join with God. But He is not separate from us. He is everywhere, and He is within all of us. We are One with Him and all others, all that has been created. The universes are One.

It is OK to beseech Heaven with requests for help. We have finite minds and hearts that are only now just coming into loving in a big way. We don’t know it all. God will gift us with intuitive thoughts from the silence in which He dwells. And He will warm our hearts while informing our minds. We will be much better off.

Don’t feel that we have to go it alone. The God Who dwells within us knows all, sees all, and can let us know the right way to proceed. His love for us does all this for us.

Jesus’ Humanity

“I loved My humanity and I still love it.  The human nature that the Father gave Me is eternal.  I am fully man and fully God, always—likewise with Mary, Heavenly Mother of all men and women of all times.”  Choose Only Love bk.3, 8:III

Jesus is giving us a reason not to turn against our humanity—because he hasn’t.  He is saying that he is fully human and fully divine, just as traditional Christianity says.

Is it too much to realize that we too have a divine nature, a human nature as well as a divine one?  Jesus has told us elsewhere that there is nothing he has that is unwelcome for us.  We are equals (though he has walked farther ahead than have we).  We are of the same nature.

Likewise, Jesus here brings in Mary, who is his soulmate.  We will find as we read further in Choose Only Love that God too has a feminine nature.  God is revealed as a God of both the masculine and the feminine.  His nurturing manner is an aspect of the feminine, often more so than in the masculine.

So our human natures will be eternal also.  Definitely we don’t want to denigrate the human by wishing for an otherworldly nature to the exclusion of the human.

Our divinity will inform our humanness.  And then we will be fully whole.

We Are a Spark of Divinity

“But more fundamentally than even all of this, you might ask, if you are one in being with God, is it being said that you are being God? That you have been being God even within the limited parameters of life as you have known it?

“Unfortunately, this is not what is being said. What is being said is that you are simply being. You are being a feeling, thinking, creating, perceiving human being because this is what you believe yourself to be.” (ACOL, D:Day37.15 – Day37.16)

We have not been “being” God, even though God lives through us. We are human beings who are merging into the real Self, the Christ-Self, drawing upon the Self Who is God. We have a spark of divinity in us, and it is this that will save us.

This spark of divinity infuses the human with greater, more abundant traits. We are “feeling, thinking, creating, perceiving,” and this multiplicity of activities for our Christ-Self will be what we use to move into a new reality, a new reality that is finally and completely “true.”

If we imagine that we are not good enough for God, we will fall down in our attempts to live in an improved way. He has always called us “innocent.” We can see in little children the innocence that they possess. It is just this innocence that God sees in us all the way through our lifespan. We have nothing to fear. He loves us just as we are, though I can imagine that He wishes mightily that we would get our act together and limit our mistake-prone condition.

God is here with us, living through us 24/7, all year long as well. He means us well; we are His children who went astray, but He is here to take us back home with Him.

Dear God,

I would not ask for more than is mine. But everything is mine. I have read this in A Course of Love, that everything belongs to us, and that we will be unhappy if we separate a little piece of reality, and say, “This is all I want. This will satisfy me.”

It won’t satisfy long. And that is the rub. I know that our God-given gifts are abundant and very real. And may I use them today to reach higher than ever before, to move my arms toward God as He (metaphorically) reaches down to lift me up.

Amen.

Divinity Shapes Our Ends

“Remember that our goal here is to deny the old and accept the new. In this case, the old you would deny is the idea of a purposeless existence, a universe with no divine order, a life in which you are at the mercy of fate. The new idea you are asked to accept is that existence is purposeful, that the universe exists in divine order, and that your life is part of that divine design.” (ACOL, D:4.11)

The summation in the quotation for today is reassuring in the extreme. Most of us accept that we live a purposeful life; we have just been unsure what that purpose might really be. And this is true even though most of us have a strong spiritual orientation and have read far in A Course of Love, the latest of the revelations that we are given by Jesus, in his unconfused pipeline to God.

We are a Self much like Jesus, but we have heretofore not wanted to think this of ourselves. We have been too modest, and we believe that such an assertion would be arrogant. But it is only the ego that thinks that arrogance that is true is uncalled for. Our own new understanding will lead us to believe that the Self, the Christ-Self, will take us home. Nothing and nobody else can do it.

Our lives are part of a divine order, a divine design. Most of us recognize that the physical universe we view through the lens of astronomy is a universe of divine design. Even if we still listen to the skepticism of some scientists—some, not all. Physics is moving ever closer to the truths of spirituality. Whatever we call “God” is being seen in the universe as well as within our very being. We do project what we see, from within. The real universe would fit into a point smaller than the point of a pin. We learn this from the recent channelings of Jesus.

With such marvels before us, how can we doubt? Jesus here tells us what we have longed to hear, that the Divinity that shapes our ends is very real. We have no reason to doubt. Our inner knowing will appraise us of that. And when we listen to what we hear within, we are home free, home in God.

To deny the old confusions and to accept the new will give us a new lease on life. We will know, finally and completely, that Divinity does shape our ends (as Shakespeare said). Our purpose is to live as who we truly are, and this leads to an acceptance not only of the Self but of all that the Self encounters. Our healing awaits. It takes only this acceptance of Jesus’s reassuring words to know that all is well in our newly created world.

Prayer

Help me to walk a peaceful path. Help me to leave behind overwrought feelings and thoughts. The thought is the precursor to the feeling, and I would sort out my thoughts with the help of my Self. This Self has now been let out from deep within me, and it wishes me well (unlike the ego). This Self will take me home.

I would be at home in You. I would know that Your destiny for me is something that I need not fear, but only accept in harmony and peace. I don’t know what the future holds, but I trust that it will be good. All things work together for good to them that love God, to them that are the called according to Your purpose. These words from the New Testament have never been more true than they are now. Thank You for calling them to my mind and heart.

Amen.
