The Work of Love

“Here is the message that all humanity has been waiting for from time immemorial.  Souls will understand.  Hearts will rest in peace.  Memories will begin to remember the love of loves, and in that memory find the clear path to lead them, singing, back to the house of the Father.  Angels will join them from every corner of the world, and will also join you who are part of this work of love.”  Choose Only Love bk.3, 10:IV

Just as every person is Christ, sharing in Jesus’ divinity, so is every work of love a part of the message that humanity has been waiting to hear. Choose Only Love is an important new revelation, but as good as it is, it does not stand alone. Whenever any of us seek to further the Kingdom of God, we are following in Jesus’ footsteps, and our work is similarly blessed.

The most significant aspect is that our work, the work of all of us, be centered always and forever, in love. We can’t fool ourselves about this. If we are embroiled in the ego, our listeners will know and be turned off. If, instead, we react from an open heart, we will be moving in love, and the response we get to what we try to do will be enhanced.

Ask for guidance in the work of love. And let us all join together to usher in a new Kingdom, a Kingdom in this world that will be now in a newly created world.

Seek First the Kingdom

“And by using time wisely, I cultivated over time, the willingness and the ability to seek first the Kingdom, even to the point where I was doing it prior to every word spoken, every gesture made with the body. . . .”  (“The Way of Transformation,” WOM, Chapter 14, Page 176)

If we could only be like Jesus in this—to seek the Kingdom prior to everything that we do!  We can only try, and when we succeed, we will be blessed beyond description.

How exactly would we do this?  It can only come by staying in close contact with our inner Being, where God dwells.  This part of us is accessed by intuition, listening to the Divine as it presents itself to us.  Our insight will grow the more that we turn to the Inner on as much of a constant basis as we can possibly manage.

Listen for the silent whispers of how to proceed in our day.  We don’t “hear” anything, but we do know, and this knowing is profound.

Don’t forget God today.  He is our Helper, our Guide, our guidance.  And the quicker that we turn to Him before we take action, the more our very actions will bless us.

Ask Only

“Ask only:

“How can I extend my treasure this day?

“And lay up treasures where moth and dust cannot corrupt, that is, where time, materiality, the body and the world cannot ‘hook you.’ Rather lay up treasures that are in Heaven: forgiveness, peace, unlimitedness, recognition of your unlimited power, that which brings you joy and puts a smile upon your countenance. Lay up for yourself these treasures and all things shall be added unto you.” (“The Way of the Heart,” WOM, Lesson 10, Page 129)

When we lay up these treasures—forgiveness, peace, etc.—we are seeking the Kingdom of God, called in A Course of Love, the House of Truth. And, as the Bible says, “all things shall be added unto you.” The biblical tenet is to seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. And “righteousness” means “right-mindedness.” We need a healed mind.

We know what positivity means, and these gifts from God are all positive. Our own deluded minds have been lost in negativism for long years. It is this negative slant of the ego that has done us in. We wanted treasures that moth and dust corrupt, and we got them—to our detriment.

Now all that is changing for us. We have sifted the good from the bad, and we know that corruptible gifts do not satisfy for long. We want the intangible blessings from God that give us much joy—the Love, harmony, peace, joy, sense of unlimitedness. And we can have them, for they are our birthright. We have previously just been asking for the wrong things.

Let the law of attraction work for the best in life, the intangibles. Then and only then will we know the peace that passeth understanding. Then and only then will we know happiness that lasts.

Our way is being pointed out to us. We are not so dense that we don’t see it. We need simply to abide in God’s embrace, and all good things will be added unto us.

Journey within the Kingdom Begins Anew

“Rest assured, when the journey to the Kingdom is completed, the journey within it begins anew. The bliss, the wisdom, the creativity, the laughter, the friendships, the family, the joy, the serenity, and the peace—that have been, for the most part, seen as an impossible dream—will become your most ordinary state of being.” (“The Way of the Heart,” WOM, Lesson 7, Page 91)

If we can only believe what Jesus is saying here, we will have hope for an ever-better life. Would we not all want that, even if the life we have now seems pretty OK?

A Course of Love says that ordinary people will begin living extraordinary lives, and in that transition, our friends will wonder what has happened to us, why are we different? Let’s hope for an extraordinary life today. If we follow the wisdom that Jesus offers in his newly channeled works—A Course in Miracles, A Course of Love, The Way of Mastery—we will have a new life in our grasp.

In many cases, we already know what we do. Yet we often don’t put that knowing into everyday practice, because our old habits of living poorly do drag us down.

Ask today to put our knowing into practice. Jesus has taught us wisely, and eventually we come to see that even he is a companion rather than a teacher. Walk with him today. Be assured that he holds our hand as we walk along. He has promised this (from A Course in Miracles), and he says that imagining that he holds our hand is no “idle fantasy.”

Be sure to say “thank you” to the one who thinks of us always. Our leader, our savior from the snares of what we would avoid, Jesus himself. Instead, we can have bliss, wisdom, creativity, laughter, friendships, family, joy, serenity, peace—all!

With blessings like this, we will never look back.

Kingdom of God: United & Protected

“The Kingdom is perfectly united and perfectly protected, and the ego will not prevail against it. Amen.
“That was written in the form of a prayer because it is a good thing to use in moments of temptation. It is a declaration of independence. You will find it very helpful if you understand it fully.” (ACIM, COA ed., T-4.V.2:8-12)

This is a declaration of independence from the ego, not independence per se, for we have learned that independence is a goal that we can never win. We always ask advice of something/Something before we act—either the ego or the Holy Spirit/Christ-Self. Of course, we are not often conscious of this advice-seeking behavior; we think that we are autonomous.

The Kingdom of God is that with which we are One, and it is protected by the power of God Himself. We cannot ultimately fail. We will find our way home. It just might take a while.

This is not to be discouraging, but Jesus did say in A Course of Miracles that it might take “millions of years” for everyone to return home, for everyone to heal the separation from God. Even though this separation is actually impossible, because we are a part of God, it can certainly seem real enough to us, making return necessary. We have to heal our minds. We have to watch the subconscious contents make their way to the surface to be healed. All of this does mean that Awakening is not possible for all of us as immediately as we would like.

The Kingdom of God! Let us rejoice that we are actually numbered in its Whole.
