I Offer Only Miracles Today

ACIM Workbook Lesson 345 – for Sunday, December 11, 2011

Affirmation:  “I offer only miracles today,
For I would have them be returned to me.”

“Peace to all seeking hearts today.  The light has come to offer miracles to bless the tired world.  It will find rest today, for we will offer what we have received.  (WB476)”

Reflections:

1 – A Weary World

A Course in Miracles says that the world is very weary now.  We have seen such troubles  over the centuries.  No comprehensive Awakening has occurred, and so the world looks to those who cherish salvation to save it from itself.  We are “seeking hearts.”  We have received help, and it is up to us now to offer that help.

2 – Offer Miracles

If we offer miracles, then miracles will be returned to us.  And rest will come to our tired hearts.  It is obvious that we must offer what we have received.  That is the way that salvation is effected in our world.

3 – May We Find Peace Today

May we find peace today.  Staying close to God in our thoughts and emotions is the best way to find that peace and also to offer it to others.  Pray often, and the blessings of those prayers will rebound to one’s self.  Then we will feel comfortable enough to reach out, because we are no longer self-centered enough to want salvation only for ourselves.

Prayer:

Dear Father/Mother,

I would ask You to help me to do my part today in bringing hope to this weary world.  We are, many of us, beset with difficulties.  Although this is an illusory world, and these difficulties are not real, we experience them as real–for we are caught by the illusion.  May we ask Your help today in rising above our difficulties, whether they be physical or emotional or both.  May we know that You are greater than whatever may beset us in an illusory world.

May some of the weariness of this world fade away.  It is unrealistic to ask for all to fade away, for the night has been long, and we have gone deep into insanity.  Lead us, step by step, out of the madness and into the light of Your love.  Be with us, and help us to feel Your presence always–and especially today, as we consider all that seems to beset us.

Amen.
